Information about the Annual HERSHEY District Track & Field Youth Program held at the Ilion High School Track maybe found below.

WHAT: Annual Hershey's Track & Field Youth Program.
WHO: Boys and Girls, 9-14 (age as of 12-31-01 / born in 1987-1992). Divisions- 9/10, 11/12, 13/14. No spikes, or shoes designated for spikes will be allowed. Boys and girls compete separately.
WHERE:

HERKIMER COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE because of the construction at Ilion H.S.
REGISTRATION: Completed entry form, signed by parent and a copy of birth certificate is mandatory for all competitor's. Available at the Ilion Public Library. Advanced registration is required!!!! Mail completed entry form to the Meet Director by May 29th or e-mail [email protected] your name, date of birth, and events you'd like to enter to Dave Williams as soon as possible and then bring all required paper on Saturday morning by 9:45 a.m. SPECIAL REGISTRATION NIGHT will be held at the Ilion Public Library Tuesday May 29th from 6:30-8:00 pm. Birth certificates are only required for first time entries, as long as you have submitted one for a previously held meet.
WHEN: Saturday June 2, 2001 10:30 a.m. - District Meet at Ilion High School .

July 7th 11:30 a.m. - New York State Meet (West) at Waterloo High School.

August 11th - National Finals in Hershey, PA.
WHY: To promote physical fitness, participation, friendship, and sportsmanship.
LOCAL SPONSORS: Ilion Recreation Department.. Programs, 50/50 Raffle, and a Concession Stand will also be available. Please support our efforts.
ORDER OF EVENTS: CLICK HERE
RELAY TEAMS: If no Relay Team is entered in a particular age group, we will form a team made up of eligible top finishers in the 100 M, 200 M, and 50 M Dashes. If you don't win your race, and would like to run on our 4 x 100 Meter Relay Team at the State Meet, you must notify the Meet Director before you leave the competition on Saturday.
AWARDS: Ribbons to the Top 8 finishers in each individual event and certificates of participation for everyone. First place finishers (2nd or 3rd, if the 1st place person can not attend) usually qualify for the New York State Finals at Waterloo High School.

PRACTICE: Informal optional practices will be held the Thursday before and after Memorial Day at the Ilion High School Track from 6-7 p.m. All are welcome.
